However, it is somewhat of a misnomer to say it projects in true 2.35.  What this projector does is zoom forward so a 2.35 image fills a 2.35 sized screen.  So when it does this, it is zoomed forward, so it is actually projecting black above and below the screen (but you won't see that black, it just disappears into the room).  When a projector zooms forward like this, it can create a "screen door effect", but Panasonic supposedly has the "smooth screen technology"...
